For Game 7, I was in Key West, Florida. Even at the Southernmost point in America, I found a sports bar and hunkered down to watch the final game of the playoffs. Of course the whole world knows how that turned out, shame as it was.
However, prior to all the embarassment, Grace and I made a date to make some Canucks cupcakes. I have seen a lot of Canucks things that people made and I must say that our cupcakes were exemplary. Although, it's all for the love of the Canucks so even if it's not as pretty, it's still thoughtful.
First we drew out some stencils to pipe our white chocolate on for the logos. It got tiring to draw so we ended up free-handing it.
Whipping up cream cheese frosting. Mmm!
A lot of my coworkers who I shared my cupcakes with, threw away this part thinking it was marzipan. "It's white chocolate!" -- and they picked it out of the trash haha.
Divine chocolate cupcakes, the best I've ever tasted! I begged my friend for this secret recipe with the promise of only sharing with true foodies.
All frosted and adorned. Took maybe 5 hours? I became so cranky and tired from doing each color of chocolate and waiting for it to chill before adding the next color. I swore off making Canucks logos.. but if we succeed again next year, I will definitely support our team.
